AI Readiness Assessment for UK Professional Services Firms
Z3nith scores a UK professional-services firm's readiness to adopt AI across client work, internal operations, and revenue growth — in 60 seconds and without a consultant. For accountants, lawyers, consultancies and advisory firms, we focus on document automation, knowledge management, and the governance posture regulators expect.

Seven dimensions, with extra weight on governance, data foundations, and talent — the three places professional-services firms most often fail an AI rollout. We score on a 1–5 scale per dimension. Free signals come from your website (service lines, sector focus, technology mentions) and Companies House (size, age, sector). The Standard report adds a 19-question deep-dive on how your fee-earners actually work today.
Is this useful for an accountancy or law firm specifically?
Yes — and it's why we built the Advisor Program. Accountants and lawyers face the highest near-term AI productivity gains (document drafting, research, review) and the highest governance bar (client confidentiality, conflicts, regulator expectations). The assessment surfaces both: where AI can pay back inside 90 days, and where you need a written policy before you go further.
How long does it take and what do I receive?
Free scan returns an indicative score in under 60 seconds. Standard report (£49) takes 8–12 minutes and returns a PDF with score, dimension breakdown, top-3 recommendations, and a UK SME benchmark. Premium (£149) adds a 90-day implementation roadmap calibrated to your headcount and tech stack.
How accurate is the score?
The free score is indicative; it's what we can defensibly say from public signals. The Standard score is calibrated by your questionnaire answers and is the version we'd defend at a partners' meeting. The methodology — 1–5 rubric per dimension, geometric-mean aggregation, signal sources documented — is published. Any partner with a finance background can audit how the number was built.
What does it cost?
Free scan: £0. Standard report: £49 one-off. Premium roadmap: £149 one-off. There's also an Advisor Program (separate page) for firms that want to deliver assessments to their own clients under their brand — relevant for accountancy and consultancy firms with a client base they advise on technology adoption.
What signals we pick up for professional services
The free scan reads public sources only — your website, Companies House filings, and the technology fingerprints we can detect. For professional services, we specifically look at:
- •Practice-management or case-management system fingerprints
- •ICAEW / ACCA / SRA / FCA / Bar Council references
- •Service-line breadth on the website (audit, tax, advisory, etc.)
- •Companies House SIC codes 69–74 (legal, accounting, consultancy, design)
